Number of multiplexes are increasing rapidly in hyderabad like never before.Many closed old single screen theatres have been made into multiplexes.Many single screen complexes such as mahalaxmi complex(dilsukhnagar),lakshmikala complex(moosapet),vijayalakshmi complex(lb nagar) are being coverted into low cost multiplexes.From 1997-2012 more than 100 single screen theatres closed in hyderabad due to various problems like maintaince,piracy,loses due to continuous showing of flop movies,low budget movies,bgrade or adult movies.
